Black Country Housing Group invests in PIMSS Cloud and Viability package

Registered housing provider Black Country Housing Group has appointed PIMSS Data Systems to implement a cloud version of its Asset Management System and Viability – the asset evaluation solution. The news follows a competitive tender and the registered landlord is the first to purchase the two solutions together as a fully unified package.

A housing association working closely with local communities in Birmingham and the Black Country, Black Country Housing Group owns and manages over 2,000 assets, and required a solution to manage all compliance in one central register, plus a system for stock condition and component lifecycle management. The Group also wanted to more effectively manage planned asset maintenance programmes and the ability to strategically assess stock before making decisions regarding major investment programmes.

In PIMSS Cloud, Black Country Housing Group now has a flexible tool to effectively plan, predict, analyse and manage their assets in a central database. As part of the solution, the housing association will take advantage of Agility – the mobile working app for field based data capture and surveys – plus a host of other features and modules including Energy, Asbestos, Planning and Contracts.

Also a cloud solution, Viability will be fully integrated with PIMSS Cloud and gives Black Country Housing Group an analysis tool to evaluate assets against NPV, yield and ROI plus key strategic objectives and metrics to make evidence based decisions regarding investment.

Implementation and integration of the solutions will now take place following a carefully planned timescale schedule with compliance taking priority.
